Adam is an established executive leader in the digital security domain and the global lead for Cyber Security Architecture, Innovation and Offensive Security at Bayer. Here he is responsible for defining the overall technical approach to security across the company and checking its effectiveness. Beginning his career in the defence domain, Adam has since gained extensive experience across the cybersecurity industry, including enterprise and embedded system security, industrial control, and safety-critical systems. Adam is recognized as an IET Cyber Security Expert and holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) accreditation. He is actively involved in the cybersecurity research community, contributing to the state of the art with several peer-reviewed publications and patents across the domain. His notable works include publications on adversarial attacks on machine learning cybersecurity defences, automated asset discovery in industrial control systems, and examining human individual differences in cybersecurity. Not content with joining the worlds of business and technical security together with well-structured architecture programmes, Adam is a strong advocate for the role of academia and academic research within the industry through skills development and multi-disciplinary research. As a frequent public speaker, Adam regularly supports academic institutions with guidance and lectures and sits on several industrial advisory boards. Further, he supports government accreditation schemes to ensure that top talents and institutions attain and retain the recognition they deserve, whilst supporting others to push the horizon.
