Mina Patel is Director and Project Manager at Video Conferencing for Global Learning (VCfGL), with over 20 years’ experience leading innovative programmes in education technology, global collaboration and digital learning. She specialises in developing strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors, enabling the effective use of video conferencing to transform teaching and learning in classrooms worldwide. Mina has Directed large-scale national and international initiatives, including the development of a UK-wide video conferencing service for schools and the delivery of global remote teaching programmes in partnership with governments and education organisations. She works closely with technology providers, policymakers and educators to design sustainable, scalable solutions that enhance access to high-quality learning. As Chair of the National VC Education Group, Mina supports schools to embed video conferencing across their organisations, driving innovation in hybrid and global learning models. She has also previously advised the UK Department for Education on broadband infrastructure to support digital collaboration. A recognised international speaker, her TEDx talk, “Rise of the Global Teacher,” highlights the power of technology to connect students and educators across borders.
