I am a senior research fellow at the University of Birmingham. After obtained PhD in Metallurgy and Materials at UOB in 2005, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Hertfordshire. In 2008, I moved to Teer Coatings Ltd to accumulate more than 4 years of industry experience before returning. I am working on an EU H2020 Project to develop protective coatings for TE materials and thin-film TE devices. My major interest is in surface engineering especially PVD, plasma modification and ceramic conversion treatment of metallic and composite materials.
