Wendy S. Parker is Professor of Philosophy at Virginia Tech. For more than 20 years, she has addressed philosophical issues in modeling and simulation, including questions about model evaluation, uncertainty assessment, data assimilation, ensemble modeling, values in modeling, and more. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation and published in a wide range of philosophical and scientific journals. She holds a B.S. in Meteorology and a B.A. in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University and a Ph.D. in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
