Wellington "Duke" Reiter, FAIA , is the Senior Advisor to the President of Arizona State University and the Executive Director of the University City Exchange (UCX) at ASU. His UCX portfolio features complex, multi-stakeholder projects involving university/city collaboration, sustainable urbanism, healthcare, and university design. Much of this work is unique to ASU but the examples are quickly becoming models for other institutions with which Mr. Reiter is working. Reiter is the past President of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the former Dean of the College of Design at Arizona State University, and a long-time faculty member at MIT in the Department of Architecture. He is the recipient of the Arizona Architect’s medal and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. He is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and the Chair of the University Development and Innovation Council. His projects and visualizations have been featured in numerous museums and Princeton Architectural Press previously published a monograph on Reiter’s work, Vessels and Fields.
