VINCENT D. PARK is a Senior Director of Technical Standards at Qualcomm Technologies Inc. and is part of the Qualcomm Standards and Industry Organizations (QSIO) team, where he leads Qualcomm’s automotive standards and industry organization related work. In this role, he provides direction and coordination for Qualcomm’s efforts globally in many standardization bodies, industry associations, and other external organizations on a wide range of automotive topics including Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Automated Driving (AD), Functional Safety (FuSa), vehicle cybersecurity, Road Usage Charging (RUC), and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging. He is an active participant and contributor in 5GAA, ITS America, UNECE WP.29 GRVA, ETSI TC ITS, IEEE P1609, SAE C-V2X TC, and several other automotive related standards and industry groups. He presently serves on the boards of the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA), the OmniAir Consortium, and the Automotive Safety Council. He is also a member of the Technology Advisory Board of the Center to Connected and Automated Transportation (CCAT) and serves as Vice Chair of the SAE CTI Cooperative Perception Task Force. Previously, he served for two years as the Vice Chair of 5GAA Working Group 3 (Evaluation, Test Beds, and Pilots). Prior to his current role in QSIO, he conducted research on mobile wireless networks in Qualcomm Research, at Flarion Technologies Inc., and at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
