Tadashi Matsumoto leads OECD’s work on national urban policy and climate resilience. He provides strategic leadership and oversees the research and analysis on national urban systems, including an ongoing work on the role of small and medium-sized cities, as well as net-zero transition in cities, systemic climate resilience in cities, sustainable urban design and planning, urban green growth, and nature-positive cities. Tadashi worked for the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism before joining the OECD. Tadashi holds a MUP (Urban Planning) from New York University and a Ph.D. from Tokyo University (Engineering). He lectures at Tsukuba University, Japan, and SciencesPo, France.
