Since 2022 Steve has lectured and been an adjunct professor at USC. Teaching in both their undergrad and graduate programs. His curriculum involves cyber security, MBA level crisis management and in the safe communities program for law-enforcement. He is an instructor in the DoS Anti-Terrorism Assistance program. He has guest lectured at FBI HQ, US Cyber Command, Tel Aviv University, Northwestern, Pepperdine, InfraGard, the Farm and the Wall Street Journal. He remains active as a former Board member for OSAC and a SAG member for DSAC. His diverse career has spanned nearly 50 years, working and living in over 50 countries. Between 2002 and 2018 he served with Sony Pictures Entertainment/SONY as their Executive Vice President of Global Protection Services. In July 2018, he founded Bernard Global, LLC a provider of risk and resilience services. His time in the US Army included a tour in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, with an Associate of Arts degree in Psychology. During his 12 years in municipal police he also graduated from the FBI National Academy. Steve has been a Certified Fraud Examiner(CFE) since 1991. Prior to Sony Steve worked in key leadership roles in high-tech, oil & gas and law-enforcement. Steve is a senior security advisor for International SOS, CSA, Prescient and Metro One.
