Graduated as an engineer from INSA Lyon and ESCP-EAP, Stéphane Aubarbier began his career at Assystem as a test engineer before taking on various responsibilities that led him to oversee the automotive sector. After spending five years with the ABB Group, where he managed maintenance contract activities first in France and then in Southern Europe, and subsequently headed marketing and business development for the service division in Southern Europe, he returned to Assystem in 2002 to establish engineering activities and redevelop the Energy & Nuclear business. Appointed Executive Vice President of the Group in 2005, he led the automotive, manufacturing, and energy sectors, and spearheaded the company’s expansion in the Middle East and Asia. In 2018, he became Chief Operating Officer. On January 24, 2023, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Assystem, with responsibility for all company functions. In addition, Stéphane Aubarbier served as Chairman of Syntec-Ingénierie (the French professional engineering federation) and was a member of the French Nuclear Industry Strategic Committee from 2011 to 2023.
