Spencer L. Evans was named the Special Agent in Charge of the Las Vegas Division of the FBI in April 2022 by Director Christopher Wray. In this role, Mr. Evans oversees all FBI investigations and operations for the State of Nevada. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in April 2019, serving in both the Office of Private Sector and the Human Resources Division. Mr. Evans’ other prior leadership roles include assignments to the Oklahoma City and Jacksonville field offices, as well as the FBI’s Counterterrorism and Criminal Investigative Divisions. Upon joining the FBI in June 2004, Mr. Evans was assigned as a field Agent in the New Haven Field Office and subsequently the San Diego Field Office, where he worked a variety of violations, including health care fraud, public corruption, international terrorism, and drug trafficking matters. While in San Diego, Mr. Evans served as a crisis negotiator for both the FBI and the San Diego Police Department's Emergency Negotiation Team. A native of the San Francisco Bay area, Mr. Evans holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
