Dr. Shilpa Thosar, Ph.D, RAC is a founder and principal consultant for VSantech Pharmaceutical Consulting LLC. Dr. Shilpa Thosar is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of leadership experience in product development, technical operations, and regulatory CMC strategy. She has held senior roles in both large pharmaceutical companies—including Searle, Pfizer, Amgen, and Takeda—and in innovative biotech firms, where she led product development/technical operations and regulatory CMC initiatives. She is currently a consultant. Dr. Thosar holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, and has RAC certification. Her deep expertise spans all phases of pharmaceutical product development and global technology transfers, with a focus on solid oral dosage forms and injectable products. She is an inventor on 14 global formulation patents and has served as a CMC/regulatory subject matter expert in international due diligence efforts. She has served on several leadership roles on AAPS volunteering committees including being at AAPS MSE section chair.
