Ms. Gill has 28 years of experience managing 24 hours a day seven days a week operation out of the MDOT Southeast Michigan Transportation Operations Center (SEMTOC) along with the Safety Service Patrol (SSP). In 2025, SEMTOC managed 19,265 events including incidents, special events and work zones while SSP provided 29,566 assists including tire changes, mechanical repairs, traffic control at crash scenes, debris removal and provided fuel. She has played a key role in traffic management for many planned special events to ensure that traffic is routed to open parking and allows for circulation throughout the event area. She coordinates with multiple agencies to improve communication, timeliness, and dependability of the freeway network while utilizing the intelligent transportation system (ITS) devices including approximately 400 cameras and over 175 dynamic message signs. Ms. Gill has initiated and led National Traffic Incident Management Training Program Workshops called Mi-TIME in Michigan since 2012.
