<p>Sam J Watkins joined BT in 1997 as a graduate entry, expecting to do 2 years and find something more interesting to do.</p> <p>Instead, Sam built a career focused on helping BT examining interesting new ways of serving our customers. A mathematical modeller, with a focus on the user experience: how can we help people in BT empower our customers?</p> <p>Examples include reverse engineering youTube in 21 hours, writing a paper on the threats and opportunities present in SecondLife, and the subject of today's panel: identifying and managing the risks automatically in our security posture within the developers' environment and making that a normal, informed way of working.</p> <p>They have also become a leading voice in Able2, BT Group's Disability Employee Network and our union, looking to create equity and diversity in the work place.</p>
