Sabine Cornieti is a Senior Energy Specialist at the World Bank – where she started working 10 years ago. As lead of the Renewable Energy team in ESMAP-World Bank and the Sustainable Renewables Risk Mitigation Initiative (SRMI), she provides strategic advice to over 40 countries on private sector mobilization. In particular, she manages global solar, battery storage and wind deployment operations in countries such as Tunisia, Liberia, Indonesia, and Guinea Bissau. Additionally, she leads the structuring of multiple innovative risk mitigation instrument (such as in DRC and Ethiopia) and their associated fundraising efforts. Sabine's prior experience includes working with TOTAL-EREN in Jakarta as renewable energy business developer focusing on the South East Asia region, GIZ Indonesia, and UNDP in NY. She holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham, UK, and an MSc in Economics from Sorbonne Paris 1, France. She has also specialized in Renewable Energy Policies and Finance during a Masters of International Affairs of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), USA.
