Rodrigo De Vecchi is a professional scientist with a great reputation in the fields of biotechnology and cosmetology. He holds a PhD in Genetic and Molecular Biology from the UNICAMP, where his research was based on the study of human genetics and dermatogenetics within the scope of psoriasis. His work included conducting trans-ethnic genome-wide clinical studies and immunogenetic research in rare diseases, raising the bar for the understanding of genetic factors in dermatology conditions. Dr. De Vecchi made an outstanding contribution to drug discovery, skin physiology, and product innovation for many therapeutic solutions during his professional career. His scientific contributions are in the field of development of nanostructured delivery systems, high-throughput screening approaches in drug discovery, methods used to increase intracellular bioavailability of the pharmaceuticals. Dr. De Vecchi published 18 articles, from the microbiome of the Brazilian population to pioneering ways in the skin and hair care industry. His research has embraced the effects of Microbiome and Exposome on skin and hair, setting the foundations for studies in this area. He is a prolific inventor and innovator in the field of biotechnology, particularly in Longevity, new peptides and nanoemulsion systems for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Dr. De Vecchi has also been an inviter professor and lecturer in international congresses and institutes on pharmacology, biotechnology, and the use of new advanced technologies in cosmetology and drug development.
