Professor Debbie Carrick-Sen holds a joint appointment between University of Birmingham, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and the Florence Nightingale Foundation. She is a qualified Nurse and Midwife. Her areas of research expertise include organisation and individual research capacity building, application of MAGNET principles in healthcare, workforce role development and maternal health with a particular interest in perinatal mental health. She co chairs the AUKUH NMAHP Clinical Academic Role Development Group and is a member of the International Society of Reproductive and Infant Psychology Committee and National HEE Nursing and Midwifery Advisory Group.
