Martin Jackson is currently Professor of Advanced Metals Processing at the Univ. Sheffield, United Kingdom. Martin worked at Rolls-Royce as a graduate trainee before studying his PhD at mperial College London. He was awarded the IOM3 Titanium prize in 2003 and a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship in 2005 to develop solid state processes for low cost titanium. Prof. Jackson is Director of the Sheffield Titanium Alloy Research (STAR) research group who work the aerospace, automotive and defence sectors. Martin first presented at the World Titanium conference in Hamburg (Ti-2003).
