Prashant Murthy is the Managing Director, Capital & Strategy of AirTrunk, Asia-Pacific & Japan (APJ)’s leading hyperscale data centre provider enabling the growth of the cloud and artificial intelligence across the APJ region, and one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world. Prashant leads AirTrunk’s company strategy, scaling its funding platform and maximising economic value creation. Under Prashant’s leadership, AirTrunk has raised over A$7 billion in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) financing across its APJ platform, making it one of the largest issuers of sustainable financing in the data centre industry. Prashant pioneered AirTrunk's move to be the first data centre in APJ to launch a Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) which was the largest for a data centre globally. AirTrunk's SLL has been recognised with numerous global awards including IJGlobal, AFR, The Banker, and FinanceAsia, demonstrating the company's bold vision for Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion in the technology sector. Among numerous accolades, Prashant won Digital Infrastructure Finance Leader of the Year at The Tech Capital APAC Finance Awards in November 2024. Previously at Macquarie Capital in Australia and North America, Prashant has extensive experience in data centres and digital infrastructure.
