<p>Pia Rebello Britto is the Global Director of Education and Adolescent Development at UNICEF, appointed in August 2024. She provides strategic leadership for UNICEF&rsquo;s global education and adolescent development agenda, guiding policies and programmes that advance learning for all children. Previously, she served as UNICEF Representative in Lao PDR, and as UNICEF&rsquo;s Global Chief of Early Childhood Development. Before joining UNICEF, she was an Assistant Professor at Yale University, and holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. A leading expert with over 100 publications, she is widely recognised for her contributions to child development. She is a US national, and fluent in English and Hindi.</p>
