Philipp is a Senior Associate at Aurora Energy Research, where he leads the German Flexibility Market Report and German Grid Report. His work focuses on modelling flexibility markets and evaluating the profitability of battery energy storage systems. Also, he is responsible for Aurora’s German Grid Report, providing forecasts of redispatch volumes and analysing the impact of grid curtailment on business cases. Since joining Aurora in 2021, Philipp has worked on a wide range of advisory projects, particularly in the area of flexibility services, and played a key role in developing Aurora’s flexibility offering for the German market. Prior to Aurora, he worked in long-term power market modelling. Philipp holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
