Paolo Vacca is a R&D manager with 25 years experience on Macromolecular Chemistry, composites formulations, functional additives and a created portfolio of 27 patent families, 35 scientific papers, some book chapters. He got a Master of Science in Chemistry, a PhD in Industrial Engineering, an Executive Master of Business Administration. Paolo is currently Research Labs Manager for SAES and for almost 15 years he has been managing a team of motivated scientists and technicians involved in the development of functional additives and active formulations with designed characteristics for many industrial applications. Before joining SAES, Paolo was researcher for 5 years for E.N.E.A. (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy), 2 years for Pirelli Labs in the Materials Innovation Division as industrial researcher, 1 year for C.N.R. (Italian National Research Council). He is member of Italian Chemical Society (S.C.I.) and American Chemical Society (A.C.S.), member of Technical Committee “University & Research” for entrepreneurial association Assolombarda, member of Technical Committee “Research & Development” for the Italian national association Confindustria, member of Advisory Board of Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department of Politecnico di Milano, Expert Evaluator for European Commission for calls on advanced materials and nanotechnology.
