Henk Bolt graduated with a Master’s degree in Chemistry at Utrecht University. At the Physics Faculty of the same University, he performed his Ph.D. research, using high-energy ion beam analysis of interfacial processes in alumina-supported model catalysts. After fulfilling a postdoc researcher position in Chemical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, he joined the steel industry. Since 1997, Dr. Bolt has been working in the R&D labs of Hoogovens and its successors Corus and Tata Steel Europe. He currently holds the position of Principal Scientist Rolling Mill Rolls. Dr. Bolt was also member of the organising committee for the IOM3 Conferences Rolls 4 (2007) and Rolls 5 (2015) and is currently Chairman of the Rolls Conference Organising Committee.
