Noel Kok is an independent filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer dedicated to reshaping Africa's narrative and creating opportunities for African storytellers. As co-founder and Executive Director of Nature, Environment & Wildlife Filmmakers (NEWF), he leads Africa Refocused in partnership with National Geographic Society. NEWF promotes stories from a pan-African network of visual storytellers and conservationists, focusing on access, inclusion, and equity in African nature and wildlife filmmaking.
