Michael Lippert

Michael Lippert is currently in charge of innovation and market strategy for Saft's Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Division at the company's headquarters near Paris. He is also Vice-President of the 'Energy Storage Europe Association' (formerly EASE), as well as Chairman of the 'Batteries European Partnership Association' (BEPA), both in Brussels.</p> <br /><p>Michael holds a degree in European Business Studies in France and Germany and has been working for more than 35 years in different international sales and marketing positions at Saft for Railway, Mobility and Stationary markets. He has played a major role in establishing Saft's market position in Li-ion battery technology for renewable energy and smart grids since 2010. In parallel, he contributed to the development of EASE since its foundation in 2011. In the frame of the European Battery Alliance (EBA), Michael was elected Chairman of the first European Technology and Innovation Platform (ETIP) for Batteries in 2019. Since 2020 Michael is also the elected Chairman of the Executive Board of BEPA, the Battery Partnership Association which is driving and coordinating R&amp;I activities within the Batt4EU partnership with the European Commission, under the Horizon Europe Programme.
