Mr Michael Hecquet (Dipl.-Ing.) is in charge of Advanced fuels R&D program for TotalEnergies. He is also the specialist for TotalEnergies in the field of biomass / wastes conversion and associated value chain. His role is to define and support the roadmap and the strategy of the Company for the Advanced solutions (road fuels, Sustainable Aviation Fuels, Sustainable Marine Fuels, base chemicals) in association with the various business units (R&D, industrial projects, strategic studies..) but also in developing R&D / business partnership worldwide. In addition, he is the overall technical coordinator and gasification plant operating leader for Bionext, the company managing the BioTfueL project for its partners (Axens, Avril, CEA, IFPEN, ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions, TotalEnergies). Prior to that, Michael gathered over seventeen years of experience related to R&D, feasibility/economics studies, basic engineering, FEED and EPC in the fields of renewable & alternative fuels, refining and Coal to Olefins through various experience inside Total, Axens, Esso, Shell. He holds two degrees in chemical engineering from "Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques de Nancy" and from the "Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs" (IFP School).
