Prof. Matthew Palmer leads the Environmental Intelligence Group at PML, integrating leading and cutting-edge autonomy, marine system models, data science and machine learning to enhance knowledge and understanding of marine systems to transform complex marine knowledge and data into timely, actionable, environmental intelligence. Matthew also Directs the National Centre for Coastal Autonomy and previously served as Chief Scientist of the Marine Autonomous & Robotic Systems facility in Southampton.
