Marty Ellingsworth serves as Executive Managing Director, P&C Insurance Intelligence Group at J.D. Power. Marty is a leader in creating value from data and digital assets with advanced analytics. He is a strong advocate for customer centricity and has created innovation within and between almost every link in the P&C insurance value chain in both commercial and personal lines. His longstanding accomplishments include productizing deep industry knowledge in risk assessment and rating as well as creating many valuable innovations especially in personal auto risk selection, rating, fraud detection, claims, subrogation, and customer experience. Prior to joining J.D. Power, he served as a thought leader in data, AI, and cloud at Celent an advisory firm where he focused on insurance (Celent is a part of OliverWyman and Marsh & McLennan). For the last two decades in his insurance career, he also held leadership roles in analytics with USAA, Verisk, and Allianz (Fireman’s Fund), as well as a VC-backed insurtech pioneering text analytics and predictive modeling products. Prior to P&C insurance, he led analytics and network products in healthcare, and served as a scientific analyst while an officer in the United States Air Force. Marty has a Bachelor of Science in operations research from the United States Air Force Academy and a Master of Science degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
