Special Agent (SA) Neria joined the FBI in 2007 and was assigned to the Los Angeles Field Office, where he investigated counter-nuclear proliferation and later served as the Counterterrorism Liaison to San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. In 2011, he transferred to FBI Las Vegas, where he worked across multiple investigative programs, including Civil Rights, Transnational Organized Crime, Counterintelligence, and Public Corruption. In 2012, SA Neria was temporarily assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Romania as part of the Legal Attaché’s Office, where he played a role in the successful extradition of Romanian online scammers following negotiations led by the U.S. Ambassador. He also provided victim services and served as a liaison to vendors in the aftermath of the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy on October 1, 2017. Currently, SA Neria serves as the Private Sector Coordinator for FBI Las Vegas, acting as the InfraGard and Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC) liaison, fostering collaboration between the FBI and key industry partners. Prior to joining the FBI, SA Neria served as an Army Engineer Officer at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, completing two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He continues to serve in the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Affairs Branch, leading humanitarian assistance and school construction efforts in the Philippines. He is currently assigned to the Army Inspector General. He holds a degree in Political Science, attended law school, and is currently completing an MBA SA Neria is married to Dr. Mirna Gamboa Neria, owner and operator of Vegas Valley Chiropractic, and together they have a profoundly gifted son. Both his wife and son were born and raised in Las Vegas.
