Mark Greaves

Mark Greaves is a Senior Production Consultant for Geodesy at Ordnance Survey. He has worked for OS since 1986. He was a cartographic surveyor for 8 years before moving into the geodesy team. He holds an MSc (with Distinction) in Engineering Surveying and Geodesy from Nottingham University’s Institute of Engineering Surveying & Space Geodesy (now the Nottingham Geospatial Institute) and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mark specialises in geodetic GNSS computations and analysis, coordinate reference system realisation and datum transformations. He has been responsible for several national GNSS network adjustments including two internationally ratified realisations of the ETRS89 coordinate reference system in Great Britain and developed the OSTN02/OSGM02 and OSTN15/OSGM15 transformation/geoid models which relate GNSS measurements to the OSGB36 datum and British National Grid. Mark is a member of the team responsible for managing, and developing, the OS Net® GNSS network since its inception. He is also the Ordnance Survey / UK representative on the UN-GGIM Geodesy sub-committee.
