Marian Galovic, MD PhD, is an adult epileptologist and Head of the Epilepsy & EEG Unit at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. His work sits at the interface of clinical epileptology and translational neuroscience, aiming to strengthen real-world decision-making in neurology. His research spans acquired epilepsy and epileptogenesis, seizure-related neurodegeneration, prognosis, and quantitative neuroimaging. He coordinates the SeLECT Consortium for post-stroke epilepsy research and leads big-data, real-world studies to refine treatment strategies and improve patient-relevant outcomes, with a particular focus on late-onset epilepsy. He is a past Chair and founding member of the ILAE Young Epilepsy Section and serves on several ILAE committees. Dr Galovic is currently an Associate Editor in the EAN eLearning Board , a member of the EAN Epilepsy Panel Management Group and has presented his work at several EAN congresses.
