Maria is an energy specialist with more than eleven years of experience in the field of European energy market policy and regulation. Has worked with senior stakeholders to analyse the impact of regulatory changes and to promote the development of open, transparent, sustainable and liquid markets in electricity and gas across Europe. For the last 14 years, Maria is working for European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET), currently in the position of Director, Market Integrity and Renewable Electricity. She is covering topics like: Electricity market design: implementation of Clean Energy Package, EU network codes and guidelines; Renewable electricity: implementation of RED II, promotion of EFET standard (corporate/ utility) renewable Power Purchase Agreement, guarantees of origin trading and the future relation between EU and UK: analysis of priorities and challenges for energy markets.
