Loes became a neurology resident at the University Medical Centre Utrecht in the Netherlands. She followed in-depth training in movement disorders and neuro-oncology. Additionally, she worked as a researcher on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. International experience was gained when she worked in Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Tanzania for several months. She became a resident board member of the Dutch Neurology association and the Dutch representative in the Residents and Research Fellows section of the EAN. Currently, she is a neurologist of the future, driven by self-development, improvement of neurological care, innovation of medical education, and strong teamwork to provide excellent neurological care to patients.
