Lindsey Gilchrist

Lindsey Gilchrist is a graduate waste and resources advisor at Skanska, having graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management. Her current role sees her supporting the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme. Lindsey's passionate about the connections between development and protecting the natural world. She was responsible for initiating indigenous community outreach when studying in British Columbia and has brought this drive for interdisciplinary collaboration home. In construction, she applies this by supporting environmental compliance, waste legislation and effective resource management across major infrastructure works. With a background in GIS and cartography, Lindsey understands the spatial theory underpinning geospatial modelling. Underpinned with a strong appreciation of wider sustainability practices, this perspective shaped her contribution to Skanska's Made Ground Insight Model. Her role ensures environmental requirements and on-the-ground realities are embedded into geospatial tools to enhance human judgement in complex construction environments.
