Tata Steel sponsored EngD student working on oxidation in dual-phase automotive grade steels. Research is conducted through the EPSRC Rapid Product Development Prosperity Parntership working in collaboration with Warwick Manufacturing Group and Tata Steel. EngD project focus consists of exploring the viability of Rapid Alloy Prototyping as a means of assessing oxide scale formation during steelmaking, as well as understanding the effects of reheating on the oxidation of DP800.
