Larry Weinberg is a partner in Cassels' Toronto office, and Chair of the firm's Franchise Group. Since 1989, he has concentrated on franchise law, delivering legal services to franchisors. A member of both the Canadian Franchise Association and the International Franchise Association, Larry has held key leadership roles, including CFA Board member, CFA General Counsel, and Chair of the IFA International Committee. He has also served as Past-Chair of the International Bar Association’s International Franchising Committee and the Ontario Bar Association’s Franchise Law Section. Larry founded and chaired four annual Ontario Bar Association franchise law conferences. An adjunct professor at Western University’s law school, he teaches Canada’s first course in franchise law. As co-editor of significant franchising publications, he has earned multiple accolades, including Who’s Who Legal’s Lawyer of the Year award for Franchise Law and recognition by Best Lawyers in Canada® and Franchise Times.
