Dr. Knut Hartmann serves as the EO service line manager for EOMAP/Fugro, where he oversees EOMAP’s operations and business activities. Before joining the company in 2011, Knut worked as a scientist in research and within an engineering firm. His passion and professional focus lie in combining business and technology development to advance geospatial innovation, particularly in coastal and marine environments. Dr Hartmann has received academic awards for excellence, acted as an expert advisor on Earth Observation in an ITLOS case, chairs the IHO Earth Observation Project Team, and is an active member of hydrographic societies. He also contributes to international capacity building initiatives that support the use of aquatic Earth Observation and geospatial solutions in countries around the world.
