Karla currently serves as the Partnerships and Program Activation Manager at the Running Industry Diversity Coalition (RIDC). She is passionate about equity and access to movement as a conduit to joy and belonging. Karla’s background is in Global Health and she has previously worked at the CDC, Emory University, and Loma Linda University in social determinants and qualitative research among other focus areas. In her free time you can find her running on trails and being an athlete advocate for Rising Hearts, an Indigenous-led organization, and The Running Kind, which aims to increase sustainability in the sport.
