Karina Schaap, over the last 14 years, has delivered economic and industry development strategy, policy and projects in a government setting, particularly in the portfolios of science, innovation and technology. Karina is currently leading the Digital Industries Facilitation branch in the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Government of Western Australia, which is responsible for developing and implementing the new Digital Industries Acceleration Strategy. This strategy will support the growth and development of the digital economy in Western Australia, with a particular focus on the take-up of digital technology by local businesses and development of the digital sector. This role includes support for digital infrastructure investment.
