Kari Branham is a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Human Genetics at the University of Michigan. She is the Director of Ophthalmic Genetic Counseling at the Kellogg Eye Center and the Assistant Director of the Genetic Counseling training program. Ms. Branham received her Masters of Human Genetics with Specialization in Genetic Counseling degree from the University of Michigan in 2002. Since that time, she has provided clinical genetic care for patients and families affected with inherited eye disease. She also serves as the clinical coordinator for Luxturna gene therapy at Kellogg. Her clinical research focuses on understanding the genetic basis for inherited retinal disease and age-related macular degeneration, genotype/phenotype correlations, and effective ways to integrate genetics into clinical ophthalmic care. She serves as a co-investigator on multiple pharmaceutical and gene-based clinical trials at the Kellogg Eye Center.
