Julita Gutkowska is a senior specialist at the National Marine Fisheries Research Institute in Poland. She specializes in the biology and ecology of Baltic small pelagic fish. She earned her Master’s degree in Oceanography from the University of Gdańsk, Poland. She is a member of two ICES working groups whose work focuses on fisheries. Currently, she concentrates on the biology of sprat, one of the key commercial species in the Baltic Sea.
