Julie Culver, MS, LCGC, CCRP is a 1994 graduate of the University of Michigan Genetic Counseling Program. She now serves as a Assistant Professor and the Director of Cancer Genetic Counseling at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Southern California (USC) where she has worked for 11 years. Julie has a strong passion for research including studying the integration and outcomes of genetic counseling and hereditary cancer panel testing in oncology practice. More recently, she has focused on addressing disparities in genetic counseling and addressing variants of uncertain significance in minority groups. Julie and her research team at USC have numerous publications on the outcomes of genetic counseling and testing in the diverse patient population of Los Angeles County, including how patients of different ethnic backgrounds understand and use genetic risk information make health decisions.
