Jose Castaneda has almost 30 years of experience in building engineering and infrastructure development and has had leadership roles in Data Center operators since 2013, both in APAC and EMEA, with a continuous focus on Sustainability and Decarbonisation. Jose currently leads the Innovation team at AirTrunk and is responsible for the inception of new technologies that help futureproof the business and for the overall product development, leading initiatives such as BESS, water recycling and embodied carbon quantification and reduction. Besides AirTrunk, Jose had management positions at Equinix xScale and at Digital Realty and was previously a director at engineering consultancy Cundall. He lives in Singapore and is originally from Spain, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MSc in Environmental Decision Making. He is passionate about helping young engineers grow within the Data Center industry.
