Commentator and Former Professional Snooker Player · BBC Sport · company speakers →
John Parrott is one of the most recognisable figures in British sport. A dominant force in snooker through the late 1980s and 1990s, he spent 14 seasons inside the world’s top 16, reached world No. 2, and won nine ranking titles, including the rare 1991 double of the World Snooker Championship and the UK Championship. Since retiring from full-time competition in 2010, he has become a familiar BBC Sport commentator, a long-standing team captain on A Question of Sport, and a regular contributor to the BBC’s horse racing coverage at major events such as the Grand National, Royal Ascot and the Derby.
