Joanne Smith-Young graduated with a BN in 2001 and MN in 2009 from Memorial University of Newfoundland (Canada). She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in Clinical Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University. She is also the research coordinator in the Nursing Research Unit, Faculty of Nursing at Memorial University. She has worked with faculty from various disciplines on numerous research projects. Her research interests include chronic disease management; mental health; and qualitative research methods, specifically grounded theory.
