Jitka Hofmanová

Expert in Waste Management Innovation · Reuse federation

Jitka Hofmanová has long been dedicated to the topic of waste prevention and seeks ways to put theory into practice. She enjoys coming up with new ideas and testing innovations that can help change the way we think about things in the Czech Republic—how we use them and what happens to them at the end of their life cycle. She leads projects that aim to help gradually reduce waste and, conversely, increase opportunities for reusing items and materials. In addition to her project work, she connects people from various fields—organizing roundtables, moderating discussions, and fostering dialogue between public administration, experts, and other stakeholders who can drive change forward. She also shares her experience and insights at conferences and professional meetings, where she presents examples from the Czech Republic as well as inspiration from abroad. She is particularly interested in how individual ideas and projects can gradually evolve into systemic changes that help prevent waste generation and support the meaningful use of resources.
