Jason Mitchell is an award-winning financial editor and journalist, and editor of Real Asset INSIGHT, where he leads coverage of institutional real estate, capital flows and investment strategy across Europe and emerging markets. Based in Africa, he specialises in analysing property markets, urban development and investment trends across the continent. He has extensive experience covering housing, logistics, offices, data centres and social infrastructure, with a particular focus on public–private partnerships, development finance, cross-border capital and market reform. He combines rigorous reporting with long-form analysis, helping investors, policymakers and developers navigate complex real estate environments. Previously, he was editor of Investment Adviser at the Financial Times and news editor of Financial Adviser. He spent more than fifteen years reporting across Latin America and Africa for Euromoney and Institutional Investor, with bylines in the Financial Times, Bloomberg, S&P Global, The Banker, IFR and fDi Magazine. Jason holds a PPE degree from the University of Oxford and has lived and worked in London, Buenos Aires, Accra and Cape Town, bringing strong regional insight and editorial discipline to senior industry debates.
