James Trainor is Senior Vice President within Aon Commercial Risk Solutions and joined Aon after a distinguished career at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mr. Trainor led the Cyber Division at FBI Headquarters and played a critical role in devising the FBI’s national strategy to combat cyber-crime. At Aon, Mr. Trainor helps shape Aon’s overall cyber and technology strategy on behalf of clients to mitigate and reduce various risks. Mr. Trainor is a graduate of Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts and obtained a master’s degree from the University of Connecticut. He also completed a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Digital Officer (CDigitalO) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) certificate programs at Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Trainor is the recipient of the 2016 Presidential Rank Award from the Office of the President of the United States. He first began working in the industry at Aon in 2016 and has 37 years of public sector and private industry experience.
