Jackie Jacqueline Jackson, Jamaica’s new Film Commissioner, is a multimedia expert with over 15 years of experience. She aims to make Jamaica a top global filmmaking destination, leveraging its cultural heritage and landscapes. Her career began in 2008 at TVJ, followed by a Master’s from Long Island University. She has worked with major media companies and founded Ideate That Limited. As Film Commissioner, she launched the Jamaica Screen Development Initiative, a significant film fund to support local talent. She also mentors youth and teaches film producing at CARIMAC, UWI.
