Dr. Hui Cai is a Professor in the School of Architecture and Executive Director of the SimTigrate Design Center at the College of Design, Georgia Tech. She previously served as Chair of the Department of Architecture and Director of the Institute of Health and Wellness Design at the University of Kansas. Cai received her Ph.D. from Georgia Tech. Her research focuses on performance-driven and evidence-based design in healthcare settings, including post-occupancy evaluations (POE) using analytical tools such as Space Syntax Analysis and Discrete Event Simulation. She has presented at international conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and received multiple national awards.
