Gale is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia and currently serves as the Vice President of the BioCommunications Association. Gale is active in forensic consulting, research and conducts workshops for various government departments. He retired in 2013 as the Deputy Dean of Teaching and Learning in the School of Science. From 1988 to 2008 he was the Program Leader of Scientific Photography and from 2008 to 2011, was the Program Leader of the Applied Science Multi-major program.
